Abstract

 

Diabetes mellitus is a disease characterized by high blood sugar levels in the urine due to disruption of metabolism because the production and function of the insulin hormone does not work properly. The general objective of this study was to determine the relationship between blood sugar levels and sleep patterns of diabetes mellitus sufferers in the Leworeng Health Center, Donri Donri District, Soppeng Regency. The research design used was cross sectional. The sample in this study were 48 people with diabetes mellitus in the Work Area of ​​the Leworeng Health Center, Donri Donri District, Soppeng Regency. The samples were taken by purposive sampling. The results showed that the value of p value = 0.004 <value α = 0.05 so that Ho was rejected with the interpretation that there was an effect of GDS levels on the sleep patterns of diabetes mellitus sufferers in the Work Area of ​​the Leworeng Health Center, Donri Donri District, Soppeng Regency, it was suggested to the Puskesmas to provide information in the form of counseling related to diabetes mellitus and efforts to prevent sleep disorders.
