Edukasi Aquasilvikultur: Strategi Pelestarian Dan Pemanfaatan Pesisir Laut

This community service activity was designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of coastal residents in Galesong, Takalar Regency, regarding aquasilviculture as a sustainable alternative to strengthen the economy and preserve the environment. The methods applied included outreach, training, and intensive mentoring in implementing appropriate aquasilviculture practices. The outreach aimed to convey a basic understanding of the concept, benefits, and potential of aquasilviculture. The training focused on fish cultivation techniques, mangrove planting, and coastal ecosystem management. The mentoring was carried out continuously to ensure the successful implementation of aquasilviculture in the field. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in community understanding of aquasilviculture. In addition, there was a surge in active community participation in integrated mangrove management and fish cultivation activities. This activity is expected to serve as an example of sustainable economic development for coastal communities, while still considering aspects of environmental sustainability.
