Microsoft Office Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Pada SMA IT Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar

Abstract

This activity is in the form of computer training, aimed at providing knowledge and understanding of the application of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint in making learning media. The target in this activity is the teachers of the Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar IT High School, totaling 20 people. Assistance in the development of instructional media is done by lecturing, demonstration and training methods accompanied by questions and answers. The material provided in the form of a basic introduction to computers and Microsoft Office to support the creation of learning media for teachers to be more interesting and interactive using Microsoft Powerpoint, then exposure to Microsoft Excel material, so that teachers can process grades using formulas that are tailored to the needs of processing grades at the school. At the end of the activity an evaluation will take place in the form of an exercise to find out the understanding of the material that has been delivered previously. The conclusion of this activity shows that the understanding of teachers about Microsoft Office is still minimal, but after the training was seen from the results of the evaluation given, 90% completed the assignments properly and correctly, as well as enthusiastic participants in playing an active role asking questions on the sidelines presentation of material so as to support an increased understanding of the use of tools in Microsoft Office. It is expected that after this activity, teachers can more often apply the knowledge that has been given in order to support in increasing teacher activities so that learning media is better and more interesting.
