HUBUNGAN PEMBERIAN ASI EKSLUSIF DENGAN STATUS GIZI BALITA
Abstract
In Southeast Asia, the achievement of Exclusive Breastfeeding shows a figure that is not much different in comparison, the coverage of Exclusive Breastfeeding in India has reached 46%, the Philippines 34%, Viet Nam 27%, Myanmar 24% and in Indonesia 27.1%. The low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia has also received attention from the government. One of them is the program to increase the use of Breast Milk (PP-ASI), especially Exclusive Breastfeeding is a priority program. The research method used is an analytical survey where dependent variables and independent variables are collected at the time of the study, then analysis of these variables is carried out. The sample in this study is all toddlers in the Working Area of the Sentani Health Center, Jayapura Regency. From the results of the discussion about the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the nutritional status of toddlers in the Working Area of the Sentani Health Center, it can be concluded as follows: there is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the nutritional status of toddlers in the Working Area of the Sentani Health Center). Suggestions for increasing mothers' understanding in order to maintain Exclusive Breastfeeding for toddlers so that toddlers can grow and develop healthily and normally, as well as improve the exclusive breastfeeding performance program.
