Abstract:  Traditional games are increasingly marginalized due to the rapid progress of the era of technology, making the younger generation prefer modern gadget-based games such as dare games. In fact, traditional games are part of the cultural wealth that is unique to various regions of Indonesia. Traditional games face external challenges in the form of declining existence due to the influence of cultural globalization and technological advances, where children are more interested in digital games than those using tools from nature. The traditional game studied in this study is Hompimpa, a game that is closely related to the world of children. This game has a deep meaning, contains high philosophical values, and makes an important contribution to shaping the character of children's education, character education is an effort to build and improve the moral quality and personality of individuals. Before character education was formally recognized as part of the school curriculum, the Indonesian nation already had strong character values. These values ​​have been manifested in cultural habits, religious teachings, and behavior. This study uses a descriptive method, Data collection in this study uses a recording method, where data is collected by recording the lyrics being played by participants in the game.
